The Tenyo Company of Japan has been selling magic tricks since the late 1940's. Magicians around the world eagerly await the new Tenyo effects each year, captivated by the clever ideas, well-made props, and well written and illustrated instructions. We even have magicians that purchase 2 of every new Tenyo release: one to perform and one to save as a collectible! Like the world famous Beanie Babies, Tenyo will occasionally "retire" certain effects, creating instant "Collectibles". Over the years, Tenyo has "Retired' several of their extremely popular effects [such as the Crystal Pyramid, Eye of the Idol, Metal Matrimony, and the Mini-Morphosis], without any advance notice to their Magic Dealers. The TENYO page will list all of the TENYO products currently available (several of these are special order items - approximately 2-4 week delivery).
Please Note: In mid 2009, we received very disturbing news from the US Distributer of Tenyo. It appears that their entire product line is being discontinued for the US Market. While they may continue to manufacture their products for other markets including Japan, we are not sure if any of their products will be released in 2010 in the United States or not! We have seen photos of the 2010 line of 5 effects, but this information is in Japanese, so we will continue to hope that they will be available in the US, and for our worldwide customers. We will try to get from them as many of the tricks that they have available, and if the trick is still listed on this page, it should be still available. Quantities are extremely limited, and if the trick has been on your wish list, now will be the time to purchase them. We are very sorry to see this happen with Tenyo, and their products will be sorry missed as they have created so many great effects over all these years!!! We have supported the Tenyo company since day one, and have greatly encouraged their business over the years. We have carried their entire available product line, and are probably one of the few dealers that actually did demonstrations of the Tenyo effects in their store. In the meantime and until further notice, we have reduced the price slightly on each trick until they all magically disappear... As soon as we here anything directly from Tenyo, we will keep you posted.
As of November 12, 2009, we received the following information regarding Tenyo. We will have 5 New Items for 2010 in limited quantities, and they will be available mid December 2009 - mid January 2010 depending on arrival time. Place orders online now to reserve the effects you want, and they will ship to you as soon as they are available. For our International Customers outside the United States, we will hold your shipment until your order is complete unless you want to pay for split shipments. Additional Tenyo Inventory will probably not be available until February 2010. The first run will probably be available with Japanese Packaging and English Instructions, although we are hoping some of these will have English Packaging. A sticker on front of packaging will say "English Instructions Included". This applies to all other Tenyo products as well - English Packaging/Instructions available until sold out, then only available as Japanese Packaging/English instructions.
ATTENTION COLLECTORS: MagicLegends.com on several occasions have sold their last Tenyo item from their own personal inventory to customers, and are now searching for the following Tenyo items to replace the missing ones in their collection - Eye of the Idol [T-173 / pictured on the top of this page], Phantoma [T-177], Telesphere [T-127], Mini-Morphosis [T-187], and Die Vision [T-004 / one of the first Tenyo effects discontinued many, many years ago, but it was a regular size die and a biege plastic box with lid]. Although their prefer this to be complete in the packaging with the instructions, they could still use them as long as all of the parts of the trick are included.
